They now offer the ultimate combination of expressiveness, response and control while staying true to their free-spirited origins. Since the Custom Z was developed in 2003, the technology, craftsmanship and specifications of the Custom Z series have continued to improve to fulfill the needs of the highest level musicians.

The wide bore taper of the V1 neck provides a free-blowing feel and the greatest possible flexibility.

The nickel silver custom style neck receiver provides a condensed tone and good response with a high rigidity. It has the flexibility to choose between the necks designed for the Custom Z and Custom EX Yamaha saxophones (sold separately).

Traditional body shape is adopted which makes the sound brighter and playing feel lighter. The material is optimized for custom models.

Key layout is designed to fit to humans' hands. This helps players concentrate on their performance without feeling stress.
